Nubia Z70 Ultra Launch: Snapdragon 8 Elite, 144Hz Display, and Versatile Cameras
The Nubia Z70 Ultra has officially launched, bringing top-tier specifications and an enhanced design to the flagship smartphone lineup. As the successor to last year’s Z60 Ultra, this latest release features the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a stunning 144Hz AMOLED display, and innovative camera technology.
Stunning Display with Slim Bezels
The Nubia Z70 Ultra boasts a 6.85-inch AMOLED display crafted by BOE. It offers a 144Hz refresh rate, 2,000 nits peak brightness, and a resolution of 1,216 x 2,688 pixels. The bezels have been refined to just 1.25mm, making them the slimmest on any smartphone.
The display incorporates an optical under-display fingerprint scanner and a 16MP under-display selfie camera with enhanced algorithms for clearer shots. Above the selfie camera lies a 430ppi screen area for seamless integration.
Advanced Camera System
At the back, the Z70 Ultra houses a triple-camera setup:
- Main Camera: A 50MP IMX906 sensor with 35mm optics and a variable aperture ranging from f/1.59 to f/4.0.
- Periscope Lens: A 64MP OV64B sensor offering 2.7x optical zoom with a 70mm focal length.
- Ultrawide Lens: A 50MP OV50D sensor with autofocus and a 13mm equivalent focal length.
The camera setup includes a dedicated button with half-press to focus and full-press to capture functionalities. This hardware innovation enhances the photography experience, especially for precision shots.

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the Z70 Ultra ensures blazing-fast performance. Built on TSMC’s advanced 3nm process, the chipset offers improved CPU and GPU efficiency, catering to high-performance gaming and multitasking needs.
Battery and Software
The Z70 Ultra packs a 6,150mAh silicon-carbon battery with 80W fast charging. On the software front, the device runs Nubia’s Nebula AIOS, based on Android 15, offering a seamless user experience enhanced with AI-powered features.
Colors and Pricing
The Z70 Ultra comes in three striking colors: Black, Amber, and a limited-edition Starry Night Blue inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s iconic artwork. Pricing starts at CNY 4,599 ($635) for the base 12GB/256GB model, with configurations reaching up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage at CNY 6,299 ($870).
Availability
The Nubia Z70 Ultra is available for pre-order in China through ZTE Mall, JD.com, Tmall, and Douyin. Shipments start on November 25, with a global launch set for November 26.
